Call
Establishment of a connection through the network, the transmission and the distribution of a call from the calling party’s equipment to the receiving party’s equipment

Call Blocking
Service that allows the client to control the telephone use.

Call Forwarding
Service which allows to reroute the call to the place where the called is.

Call Payable at the Destination
When the calling party indicates, at the moment of the call, that he wishes that the service be paid for by the receiving party.

Call Prefix
A code used to place a call outside the local telephone exchange.

Cancellation of a Subscription
The subscription contract will be terminated if cancelled by the subscriber, the installation abandoned, illegal use, if the company is dissolved or declared bankrupt and for repeated non-payment of bills.

Capacity Tariff
The process by which an operator sets a tariff for one part or element of its network that is to be used by another operator.

Chip
A term that refers to a small plate of silicon or semiconductor on which the electronic components form integrated circuits.

Chip Card
Card with a programmable chip and memory.

CLI (Calling Line Identification)
Identification of the caller party, for the purpose of call routing, visualization of the number by the called party, billing and validation.

Client of the Public Telecommunication Service
Private person or legal entity holding a contract with a Public Telecommunication Operator for the provision of one or more telecommunication services, based on terms and conditions duly regulated.

Congestion
The state or condition that occurs when more subscribers attempt simultaneously to access the switch, than it is able to handle, making it impossible to carry out the call.

Corrective Maintenance
Adjustments, or a set of actions, aiming to repair faults in the equipment or in the system.

Country Code
Combination of one, two or three digits which identifies a country in the World Numbering Plan, and serves to automatically send an international call to this country.

Creditor Operator
A PTO that becomes creditor in relation to another telecommunication operator who uses its network to provide telecommunication services.
