Narrow Band
Bandwidth that refers to channels up to 2 Mbit/s.

Network Boundary Point
Point of interconnection between two networks, agreed by the interconnected PTOs, where the responsibility of one of the PTOs begins and the responsibility of the other one ends.

Network Termination Point
Physical point of connection, with the required technical specifications, that provides access to the telecommunication network.

Network GMPCS
Personal communicational system established through geo-stationary or moving communication satellites.

Noise
A flaw in the electric power, or any other interference, in a transmitted signal that degrades the signal quality.

Network Management
Set of functions that control a communication network.

Network Elements
Facility or equipment used to provide telecommunication services.

Node
Any point of a computer network where the external equipment accesses the transmission network.

Number
A set of digits that indicate an end-point in a public telecommunication network and that contains the necessary information to route the call to that end-point.
